Factory gate price surge piles pressure on Bank
The rising price of oil sent factory gate inflation soaring at its fastest pace in 16 months during March, putting more pressure on the Bank of England to keep CPI under control.

The Office for National Statistics said the price of goods leaving UK factories rose by 0.9 per cent in March compared to February — almost twice the figure forecast by analysts. Prices rose by 5 per cent year-on-year – the fastest rate since November 2008
