Global warming: Business as usual

I can now declare with confidence that the debate about global warming has returned to more or less the same position as was extant prior to the release of the Climategate emails.

The media is reporting on far fetched claims of possible damage due to climate change without any independent thinking--witness today's story on climate change causing cancer due to flooding of toxic waste repositories. Global warming will also apparently increase mental illness, according to the report, not to mention asthma and other respiratory diseases, cardiovascular disease, heat-related deaths, human developmental effects, neurological diseases, waterborne diseases, weather-related deaths, and infectious and animal-borne diseases.
