National Geographic Warns Global Warming Leads to Increased Violence... Possibly Even 'Genocide'
On March 24, Ker Than argued in National Geographic that "Global warming could make the world a more violent place, because higher temperatures increase human aggression and create volatile situations."Reporting on the findings of a new study released last week, Than repeated the study authors' estimate of increase in violence as temperatures climb: "[I]f the average temperature in the U.S. increases by 8 degrees Fahrenheit, the country's murder and assault rate will jump by about a hundred thousand cases a year."
(If you believe that you'll believe anything!)

Global warming: There is an end game
Although nobody is advertising it, there is an end to even the most pessimistic vision of global warming, no matter what we do here and now. The IPCC (and Nicholas Stern) have carefully conealed it behind an unrealistic population projection, but the fact of the matter is that they predict stabilization of emissions around 2100, even using a fantastically exaggerated population prediction of 15 billion souls on the planet.

BROWN'S GIFT OF DOOM AND BUST
EVEN Dickens’s comically hard-up Mr Micawber would have made a better Chancellor than Gordon Brown or Alistair Darling. At least he understood basic finance: “Annual income £20, annual expenditure £20 ought and six; result misery.” If only our deficit was so small.

Horrifyingly, in the next six years, Darling plans to borrow an extra £734billion, increasing the national debt to £1.4trillion, four times the amount inherited from the Tories in 1997. That is equivalent to saddling every household in Britain with an extra £56,000 mortgage. But that’s not all.

How to avoid GMO foods
GMO foods aren’t going away any time soon. Foods processed with GMO grains (largely, corn and soy) land on grocers’ shelves. Presently, about 80% of the foods you find there contain genetically-modified organisms.

How do you know which ones to pass up? You won’t know by reading labels. U.S. food manufacturers, at this moment, are not legally required to label their products. Some do it voluntarily.

If eating genetically-modified foods sounds like a dangerous health trip you don’t want to take, there’s really only one option: Stop buying the stuff---buy organic!
